About West Carrollton Middle School

West Carrollton Middle School serves students in grades 7 and 8 with 70 certified teachers and a total staff of 92. Our students will experience a traditional junior high class schedule, which helps them transition to the high school.

The WCMS provides seventh and eighth grade students with a rigorous core curriculum in mathematics, science, reading, English language arts, and social studies as well as diverse elective course options that give students the benefit of pursuing an array of interests. Our students can participate in visual and performing arts as well as a wide array of extra and co-curricular, visual, performing arts, and athletic options. With our 7th-12th grade course of study alignment, middle school students can take math, English, and/or a foreign language for high school credit and begin to establish their high school grade point average. Our teachers provide a customized personal educational experience for each student based on the district's Formative Assessment Process. The faculty and staff of the WCMS are committed to ensuring excellence in the preparation of students for their transition to high school and higher education.

We emphasize the 21st Century Skills in all classes. Some classes may expand on these core behaviors which have been implemented throughout the West Carrollton School District.
