There are some items that have found their way to the lost and found from The Homecoming Dance! If you forgot something at the dance, please come check the box in the 100's office ASAP!

Review sessions for the October Science OGT are being held in Mr. Newman's room every afternoon until Wednesday, October 29th. Different topics will be covered each day. On most days sessions will run from 3-4. The October 29th session is the day before the exam and will run from 3:30-6:00. Swing by Mr. Newman's room or any guidance office in order to get a copy of the daily schedule which includes all dates, times, and topics covered.

Attention sophomores and juniors who have signed up for the PSAT, the test has been rescheduled for Oct, 29th. Students do not need to sign up for the test again. Preadministration will be held Monday Oct, 27th during 7th period. On these days please report to your classes for attendance, an announcement will be made to dismiss you.

ASVAB registration is now available in the 100’s office. The ASVAB is a multiple-aptitude battery that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military.The registration deadline for the ASVAB is Nov. 11th. The test will be held on Nov 14th and Score Interpretations will be held on Dec. 5th. Please see Mr. Reynolds in the 100's office with questions.

Sophomores...class of 2017...don’t forget that class ring “make up” ordering day is this Friday, October 24th during lunch. You must turn in your class ring order by this Friday, October 24th if you want to receive your class ring in time for the holidays. Don’t forget to visit www.jostens.com to design, print, and bring in your ring order summary this Friday, October 24th during lunch. You can put $50.00 down for your ring deposit and you can even do $0.00 deposit down if needed and put your ring order in layaway. The Jostens representatives will assist you with placing your order and answer any questions you may have in placing your order.

Seniors…class of 2015…don’t forget that your graduation order “make up” day is this Friday, October 24th during lunch. Please remember to have your graduation order form completed and don’t forget to bring your required deposit of $75.00. If you order is less than $75.00, payment in full is required. Again, senior graduation order “make up” day is this Friday, October 24th during lunch from 11:15am-12:55pm. If you have questions before Friday please see Ms. Babb in room 307.

The Second All school COED volleyball tournament is this Sunday from 4-8pm! If you don't have a team already there is still time! Submit your team name, player names and the $20 fee to athletic office by the end of Friday. Teams of 4 with no more than 2 guys, current volleyball player,s or alumni per team. Staff are invited to play as well. Prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place!! See you on the court.

If you are participating in Powder Puff you must have paid fees, have an emergency medical form on file, 95% attendance and be passing 1st quarter. Check to make sure you are up to date on your requirements. Check with your coaches for practice times!

This week is Character Counts week, a week designated to recognize students with outstanding character. There are six pillars of character. Today's pillar is Caring (Asset #26)

Be kind • Be compassionate and show you care • Express gratitude • Forgive others • Help people in need. Please nominate a student of outstanding character this week if fifth period.

Staff and Students! This Friday is our district wide Pink Out Day! If you purchased a shirt, it will be delivered this week. If you still want a shirt, NHS has a few extra t-shirts that will be sold during lunch this week. We have a limited amount in each size. Please wear something pink this Friday to school and to the football game!

Cooking Club will meet this Friday, October 24 after school in room 2. We will be making healthy appetizers. Please let Mrs. Moorman know by Thursday if you are planning to participate. All are welcome, but you must reserve a spot if you are planning to attend.

Due to the power outage last week, Student Council will be rescheduling American Patriotic Day for Tuesday, November 11 - in observance of Veteran's Day.

Attention Fellowship of Christian Students! We will not meet Friday before school this week. Instead, we will be in the IVDL after school at 3:15 to watch the movie "God's Not Dead." See you there!

A Green Team meeting will be held after school on Monday, October 27th, in Mr. Newman's room. We will be meeting to discuss the possibility of completing some volunteer work at Travertine Fen State Nature Preserve on Saturday, November 1st. If you are interested and cannot not attend the meeting please swing by Mr. Newman's room at some point on Monday to discuss the opportunity.
