Pirate Robotics Win Regional Competition

Pirate Robotics is proud to announce that we won the 2018 Greater Pittsburgh Regional! This qualifies the team for the World Championships in Detroit at the end of April!

Here are some highlights from Pittsburgh:
• After qualification matches, we were ranked 35 out of 52 teams, but we were in 2nd place for total "vault" points (our chosen strategy)
• In playoff selection, the 2nd place team picked us to join their alliance. Our alliance consisted of us, a team from New Jersey, and a team from Pennsylvania.
• In the playoffs, we only lost one match and eventually won the event!

Congratulations to the following students, as well as teachers and engineering coach, Michael Neal, and marketing coach, Emily McGuff, on this incredible accomplishment!
