Senior Receives Franklin B. Walter Scholarship

The Montgomery County Educational Service Center’s Franklin B. Walter Scholarship was awarded to West Carrollton High School Senior, Noah Martin, at a luncheon on April 9. He was joined by school Superintendent, Dr. Andrea Townsend and Ms. P.J. Babb. “I’m very proud of Noah,” commented Dr. Townsend. “He is involved in school activities, has a high GPA and has proven himself as a school leader.”

Martin named Ms. Babb as his Teacher of Influence. Babb is a High School Social Studies teacher and Pirate alumni. She is involved in numerous student activities such as student council, We the People and graduation.

The Franklin B. Walter Scholarship is given to students across Montgomery County and is awarded based on the student’s application that detail awards the student has received as well as activities of involvement. One Senior from each school district is awarded a $1,000 scholarship.

Martin will be heading to Ashland University where he plans to pursue a degree in criminal justice.
