WCHS Robotics
The West Carrollton Pirate Robotics team is having a car and bike show Sat., Oct. 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the High School. There will also be auction items and a bake sale at the event. All proceeds will go to the WCHS Pirate Robotics Team #6032.

Funds support the team as they build their robot and compete in local and regional competitions. Last year, the team qualified to compete in the 2018 FIRST Robotic World Championship after winning the Greater Pittsburgh Regional competition. The team also earned their way to the World Championship competition during their rookie year in 2016.

FIRST Robotic Teams from across the world will find out the challenges their robot will face for the 2019 season in January. Robots earn points based on completed tasks during competition. Teams then have six weeks to construct a robot and develop a marketing plan. Students will spend time after school and on weekends working together with coaches before the “stop build” day prior to the competition season.

Additional information can be found at wcrobotics.org as well as other opportunities that you may support the team.
