ALICE Training Planned

The West Carrollton School District will be having ALICE training on Wednesday, January 23 from 5 to 6 p.m. for community members. Training will be at the High School Guiler Auditorium – 5833 Student Street, West Carrollton, OH.

The district has several certified ALICE trainers, including School Resource Officer, Tiffany Osburn, and school Superintendent, Dr. Andrea Townsend, who will be conducting the training. ALICE is an acronym for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter and Evacuate. The presentation will include strategies for security needs that may arise in any public setting as well as at home.

ALICE training has been utilized by organizations including police, healthcare, government, business and schools.  West Carrollton school district staff training was completed in December, 2018. Officer Osburn and Dr. Townsend are excited to expand the training to the school district community.
