Q: When were the new Attendance policies put into effect?
A: In order to encourage and support a preventative approach to excessive absences and truancy, the Ohio General Assembly passed House Bill 410, requiring public schools across Ohio to implement new attendance policies and procedures. Please
click here for more information provided by the Ohio Department of Education. These changes were effective the start of the 2017-18 school year.
Q: We have moved. How do I update our address?
A: You must provide the Middle School office proof of your new address within the West Carrollton School District. The following are acceptable documents for proving residency: current utility bill, apartment lease, or home purchase documentation.
Q: When can my child start riding the bus?
A: 24 hours after you have completed enrollment or submitted proof of a new address/residency.
Q: How do I find out my child’s bus stop information?

Q: How much does a student lunch cost? What does that include?
A: $3.00 includes 1 main item, up to 4 sides and (1) milk. The reduced lunch price is $.40 for
families who qualify. (Extra items may be purchased for an additional charge.)
Q: Do you offer breakfast at the Middle School?
A: YES! Breakfast is available daily from 7:00am—7:23am (tardy bell rings at 7:25am.)
Q: Can I add money to my child’s lunch account online?
A: YES! Please click on “Breakfast and Lunch” on the home page of our website: www.westcarrolltonschools.com and look for the “PaySchools” link. PLEASE NOTE: Online payments may take up to 3 days to post to your child’s lunch account. Cash and checks are accepted at the school.
Q: I submitted a Free and Reduced Lunch Application during enrollment, how do I find out if it was approved or not ?
A: Contact Tina Pett, Food Services Supervisor, at (937) 859-5121 ext. 1121, or [email protected]. Generally, applications are reviewed and entered within 24 hours of receipt.
Q: Are there any school fees?
A: Every WCMS student is assigned a $40 fee for the current school
year. This may or may not be prorated, depending on when you enroll in
our district.
Q: What classes are available for my child?
A: WCMS is proud to offer many 7th and 8th graders an option for high school credit courses. Please
contact your child’s Guidance Counselor for these and other course options.
Q: How do I obtain access to Progress Book?
A: Progress Book parent login information, as well as instructions
for logging in, will be provided to you by the middle school office. If you do not receive this information, please
contact your child’s counselor.

A: Freely contact any of our staff members as
questions arise. A list of contacts is provided on our Guidance Web
Page. Your child will also be given an Agenda book, which outlines West
Carrollton Middle’s policies and procedures for students and parents.
