Student Attendance at Athletic Events

After meeting with the West Carrollton Athletic Board of Control and collecting information from all member schools of the Miami Valley League, the West Carrollton Athletic Department has established a student attendance requirement for the West Carrollton School District. The new requirements state:
·        The school encourages students to attend as many after school events as possible, without interfering with their school work and home activities. Enthusiastic spectators help to build school spirit and encourage those student-athletes participating in the event.
·        It is REQUIRED that students in grades eight or below attending evening events as non-participants be accompanied by a parent or adult chaperone.
·        The West Carrollton School District is not responsible for supervising unaccompanied students nor will it be responsible for students who arrive without an adult chaperone.
·        If a student does not attend school on a school day due to an unexcused absence from school, illness, fever or communicable disease, he/she is not permitted to attend school/co-curricular activities on that day.
·        If a student is experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 (temperature greater than 100.4 degrees, cough, sore throat, headache) he/she is not permitted to attend school/co-curricular activities.
