USDA Extends Free Lunch Program

The USDA has recently approved an extension of the free lunch program. Breakfast and lunch for West Carrollton students will be available at no cost for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year. Although meals will be at no cost, parents and guardians are still encouraged to complete the free and reduced price lunch application if they have not already done so and feel they are eligible. School fees may be waived or discounted if the application is completed and the student is eligible. Applications are available online at westcarrolltonschools.com or by calling the Food Service Department at 937-859-5121, ext. 1131.

Parents and guardians who have opted for their child to remain in remote learning, or parents and guardians living in the school district with a child under the age of 18, may also participate in the free breakfast and lunch program. Meals for scheduled school days will be available for pickup on Fridays from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. by appointment at Walter Shade ECC. Meals may be ordered and an appointment for pickup may be made by calling 937-859-5121, ext. 1131 by Wednesday at noon prior to the Friday pickup. Order and pickup days may vary dependent on the school schedule for the week.
