Quarantine Guidelines
When will your student need to quarantine at home for 14 days
  • When your child has been exposed to someone who has tested positive AND showed symptoms of illness 
    • The exposure period begins 48 hours prior to the onset of symptoms.
  • When your child has been exposed to someone who has tested positive without symptoms
    • The exposure period begins 48 hours prior to when the person's test was taken.  
  • Depending on your child’s unique circumstances, the school clinic nurse will determine the start and end dates of the 14 day quarantine period.
 
Social Distancing to be used in determining the need for quarantine.
Classroom -  if mask is worn by both individuals   
Students who have been 3 feet or closer for 15 minutes or more in a 24 hour period will need to quarantine.
 
Classroom -  if mask is not worn by both individuals 
Students who have been 6 feet or closer for 15 minutes or more in a 24 hour period will need to quarantine.
 
Breakfast and Lunch 
Students who have been 6 feet or closer for 15 minutes or more in a 24 hour period while eating without a mask will need to quarantine.
 
Sports or Extracurricular Activities
Students who have been 6 feet or closer for 15 minutes or more in a 24 hour period will need to quarantine.
 
Bus -  if mask is worn by both individuals   
Students who have been 3 feet or closer for 15 minutes or more in a 24 hour period will need to quarantine.
 
Bus - if mask is not worn by both individuals  
Students who have been 6 feet or closer for 15 minutes or more in a 24 hour period will need to quarantine.
 
Additional Information
  • Students should adhere to a strict seating assignment in each school setting and on the bus.  
  • Students are expected to adhere to social distancing in all school settings. 
  • The use of plexiglass barriers does not prevent the need to quarantine if exposed, guidelines apply as if the barriers were not in place
