Woman sitting with children

Congratulations to Miss Stacy at the Early Childhood Center. She received a Staff Spotlight Award recognizing her many contributions to students, coworkers, and families.

Her role as a paraprofessional in the preschool allows her to provide meaningful support to students and helps set them up for success each day. That begins when students are dropped off at school. Regardless of the weather, she greets students and families in the car rider line and ensures every child arrives at their classroom.

When she is in the classroom, she supports every child. Miss Stacy said, "I love watching them grow and learn." Principal Jen Longworth said, "She exemplifies true teamwork as she is committed to supporting her colleagues, often stepping in to lend a helping hand whenever and wherever without hesitation and without being asked. Her reliability, positive presence, and genuine care for our school community make a lasting impact."

Miss Stacy has been working with preschool students for almost 10 years, and said, "I love being with children. I get to play all day!" She is also a life-long Pirate and is a proud graduate. She has four children, and her youngest attends West Carrollton High School. She loves the sense of community in West Carrollton, both inside and outside of the school.

One of the things she has observed as an employee is her coworkers. "They are all here for the same purpose, and that is to make sure each child's day is the best."

Congratulations Miss Stacy! The school district is fortunate to have you.
