MARCH 20, 2026:
Student Council hosted the annual staff/student basketball game to benefit the American Cancer Society. This followed a week of video announcements aimed at raising cancer awareness. The student body was moved by the stories, especially those that came from the staff.
Ms. Brown - cervical cancer, in remission
Mrs. Carlisle - colorectal cancer, in remission
Mr. Hess - stage 4 melanoma, currently in treatment
Mrs. Kershaw - breast cancer, in remission
Mrs. Yeager - 2 children with cancer
Kaedyn Barnett - angiosarcoma, currently in treatment
Kaedyn is a Senior with stage 4 angiosarcoma. The students joined together to wear yellow to honor and support her.
The event raised $478 for the American Cancer Society. Staff defeated the students with a 44-38 finish!
