West Carrollton Schools Pirate Proud
Meet Nicky. He has been a Pirate since preschool.

Although an injury has prevented him from participating in his favorite sports, he still likes to wear his jacket to show his Pirate Pride. You may still see him at athletic events, cheering on his favorite team (the Pirates, of course!) or playing in the pep band. He also participates in the jazz band and the chess club and serves on the Student Council.

His Pirate Pride extends into the community, where he has participated in Community Pride Day in West Carrollton, where volunteers help clean up public areas and assist residents with weeding and clearing yard debris. He also enjoys the annual Pirate Fest event.

Nicky was in the Enrichment Learning Center for math. While there, he enjoyed exploring new things and discovered his favorite thing to learn about was science. Science continues to be his favorite subject.

He still has one more year of school before he graduates, but he knows that he would like to have a career in chemistry or chemical engineering. He has three universities in mind: the University of Dayton, the University of Cincinnati, and Ohio Northern University. He is also considering beginning his education at Sinclair Community College following graduation.
