High School Career Tech students competed in the annual Sinclair Tech Prep Showcase. The event allowed students to present their CTE projects to judges, work on their public speaking skills, and interact with professionals.

Pirates had teams placing in the competition, including:

The Data Analytics team of Jaiden Ballard, Zayne Gephart, and Lam Pham tied for FIRST place in their business competition with the topic of AI and automation replacing humans!  

The Graphic Design team of Hayden Crooks and Hayden Stevens placed second in their competition with their project, Desert Wizard Skate Deck! 

The animation team placed first with their competition Animated Game Promo!

Students who participate in the High School Career Tech classes may receive a $3,000 scholarship from Sinclair following graduation. Class of 2026, Taitum Byrne, is one of those scholarship recipients. She said, "I would recommend the Career Tech Program. The classes are fun, and it's easy to earn a scholarship."
