Man in suit holds an award

Columbus, OH (April 15, 2026) – Jack Haag, Business Manager of West Carrollton City Schools, received the Business Operations Director of the Year Award from the Ohio Association of School Business Officials (OASBO) Foundation for School Business Management at its 2026 Annual Conference & Expo in Columbus.

Jack Haag's Leadership to our area business managers and state-wide professionals has been unwavering and impactful over the last 29 years. His vast knowledge of transportation, food service, and building operations is a valuable resource that he shares graciously. He was the key to implementing a $167 million district-wide building project replacing seven buildings with four new, modern, state-of-the art buildings, and completing projects involving athletic fields and our transportation complex, “ said Brandon Knecht, Director of Business Services, Northmont City Schools, who nominated Haag for the award.

The award is one of the OASBO School Business Officials of the Year Awards, which recognize individuals who go above and beyond in service to their schools, their communities, and the school business profession.

Haag has been with West Carrollton City Schools for 29 years. During that time, he has demonstrated an invaluable understanding of the district’s operations and facilities, always mindful of how these systems impact the quality of education and services provided to students. He has been a leader in facilitating the construction plan for four new schools that began in 2020, working seamlessly with representatives from the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission, architects, project managers, construction managers, and city officials, as well as staff, students, and community members.
