four students stand outside of a Middle School with brick walls and windows visible in the background

RJ, Gabby, Lavada, and King are enjoying being some of the first students to attend the new WC Middle School. RJ likes the new lockers and being able to decorate the inside. Gabby is happy to have better air conditioning and better lockers. Lavada likes the Pirate ship on the hallway floor and the compass on the library ceiling. King feels the school is safer with more cameras. All agree that the new school is easy to navigate.

As an incoming 7th-grade student, RJ is already achieving success. He was chosen as Student of the Month and nominated by his teacher, Miss Nolan, for his good behavior in class. He is a student Senator, and he is looking forward to tryouts for basketball and maybe football. He was excited to learn that 7th-grade students were included in auditions for the Fall Play, and he is trying out.

Gabby is the 8th-grade Student Council President, and she is happy she no longer has to ride the “activity bus” from the former Middle School to participate in activities like sports. She likes having a locker that is easier to access. Besides student council, she participates in cheer, competition cheer, wrestling, track, Muse Machine, yearbook, and the news crew.

Lavada represents her classmates as an 8th-grade Student Council Secretary. Her favorite activities include cheer, competition cheer, and cheering on the sidelines for multiple teams. Outside of school, she likes to coach younger girls in cheer. She is also involved in track, Muse Machine, and National Honor Society. She likes how the new school looks from the outside.

King is an 8th-grade Student Council member and is also involved in football, basketball, National Junior Honor Society, Teen Leaders, Muse Machine, Soccer Club, and news crew. He likes the new Middle School gym because it’s bigger than the old gym, and he likes that all his classrooms are close to each other. He also enjoys spending time in the library and feels the book selection is better.
