Music teacher Marissa Ericson has been selected to be part of a presentation at the American String Teacher Association National Conference to be held in February. She shared:
The Miami Valley Symphony Orchestra has a youth strings program that is unique because it does not require an audition, and it serves students from beginner to advanced levels. Their leadership was encouraged to submit a proposal for this session by a prominent composer, and they asked me to participate as a director who has several students who are thriving in the program.
Their MVSO Youth Strings Coda ensemble will also be performing at the conference this year. Several West Carrollton students will likely be participating in that performance this year.
Mrs.Ericson has had many students participate in area orchestras in past years. She is often cited as an educator who has made a positive impact on high school graduates.
