We are paws-itively excited about having a new girl in school! Tabitha (Tabby) just graduated from Therapy Dog school. Tabby's role model is her big sister, Sammy the Therapy Dog. Sammy has been working in the schools for many years with her person, Erin Newsome. Sammy will continue with her therapy duties, and whenever she takes a day off, Tabby will take over. Sammy has left big paw prints to fill, but Tabby is ready for the challenge!

Middle School students considering majoring in communications and media production in college had an in-depth look at a possible career. Media Production class students, along with News Crew students, toured the Roger Glass Center for the Arts at the University of Dayton. They met current UD students working on a documentary about social media and engaged in conversations about how social media affects their lives. Following the tour, they enjoyed lunch and talked about their experience!

Today is World Kindness Day. If we start kindness at home, kids can take it to school and share it with their teachers, support staff, and classmates. Teachers, support staff, and classmates can take it home and share it with their families. It can keep spreading from there! Let's make the school district a kind place to be!

Happy Veterans Day! Thank you to all our active-duty military members and all those who have served. These two boys dressed as their heroes, and you are our heroes, too!
High School students interested in attending The Ohio State University had a visit this morning from a university enrollment representative. She had information to share, including that the university offers over 200 majors and has over 1,400 student organizations. This is one of the opportunities West Carrollton students have as they explore options and choose the path they would like to follow after graduation. #theohiostateuniversity #westcarrolltonhighschool
What happens during a QPT Day? Collaboration and learning! We found some of our High School staff working together, and some of our student support staff watching a presentation about CPR. Those are just two of the things happening today! #wcpiratepride
The College Fair is happening today at the High School!
It's Senior Night for volleyball. Only one Senior, but a lot of Pirate Pride.

Congratulations to Alahna R., who was crowned the Homecoming Queen, and Amarion M., who was crowned the Homecoming King. The entire Homecoming Court joined them on the field to celebrate! #wcpiratepride #westcarrolltonhighschool

Records are meant to be broken, and that's exactly what Jeremy F. did at a recent soccer game. He scored seven goals in a recent game against Greenville to help lead the Pirates to victory. The previous record was five goals. The soccer records we have go back 47 seasons. Lasse Anderson has the record for 43 goals in a season for 1992-93, and Greg Page has the record of 66 career goals from 1983-86. GO PIRATES! #wcpiratepride #wcpirateathletics

Did you know that you can enroll at any time during the summer? If you have just moved into the school district or have a child who has reached school age, visit https://www.westcarrolltonschools.com/o/wccsd/page/enrollment for enrollment information.
