Who are these masked heroes? They are some of the people who drive a school bus every day and make sure our Pirates get to school and back home. We need more heroes! If you are interested in becoming a superhero, we will help you get there! Contact our transportation department at 937-859-5121, ext. 7, for details.

Thank you to the Moraine Police and Fire Department for having a pizza party with some of our Intermediate School students on Wednesday. After taking the Winter iReady Benchmark Assessment, any student who met their annual scaled score goal received a raffle ticket entry for the pizza party. Additionally, any student who showed growth in math or reading received an iReady Brag Tag. Did we see our own SRO Officer Burns helping out and having lunch with the kids? We love Officer Burns, and we love our community!

Mr. Seifert recently had a sound lab in his classroom. Students listened to sounds made by tuning forks, rubber bands, and rulers. They answered questions about the sounds. One of the things they discovered was that the thickness of a rubber band could affect the sound it made.

We are paws-itively excited about having a new girl in school! Tabitha (Tabby) just graduated from Therapy Dog school. Tabby's role model is her big sister, Sammy the Therapy Dog. Sammy has been working in the schools for many years with her person, Erin Newsome. Sammy will continue with her therapy duties, and whenever she takes a day off, Tabby will take over. Sammy has left big paw prints to fill, but Tabby is ready for the challenge!

Today is World Kindness Day. If we start kindness at home, kids can take it to school and share it with their teachers, support staff, and classmates. Teachers, support staff, and classmates can take it home and share it with their families. It can keep spreading from there! Let's make the school district a kind place to be!
