Snowballs were flying in the ECC gym! Fortunately, the snowballs are fluffy and don't melt. Students had a lot of fun while enjoying this physical activity and working on coordination skills.

Now that the kids are on Winter Break, it appears that the West Carrollton Elementary elf has left the building. He was last seen on Friday morning, visiting classrooms and riding his scooter through the halls, but we haven't seen him since. Do elves take Winter Break, too?

Is anyone missing an elf? We have one at the Elementary School that keeps appearing. He usually comes out in the morning when the kids are coming in to school. On Monday, he was tangled in lights. On Tuesday, he was napping in the trophy case. On Wednesday, he was reading a book. This morning, he was on the roof! We haven't been able to catch him yet. Maybe tomorrow.

Last week, High School Sophomores visited the Miami Valley Career Technology Center (CTC). The CTC offers a variety of programs, including agriculture, animal care, health care, cosmetology, early childhood education, computer networking, electric trades, precision machining, and digital design. There are many others to choose from, too, and the students were able to see all of the programs. The day wasn't just about the students! The adults were able to show off some crafting skills and bring home their very own snowman! Thank you to the CTC for making this a fun and informative day!

We are paws-itively excited about having a new girl in school! Tabitha (Tabby) just graduated from Therapy Dog school. Tabby's role model is her big sister, Sammy the Therapy Dog. Sammy has been working in the schools for many years with her person, Erin Newsome. Sammy will continue with her therapy duties, and whenever she takes a day off, Tabby will take over. Sammy has left big paw prints to fill, but Tabby is ready for the challenge!
