The First Annual Chili Cook-Off is on Friday, February 12, 2016 from 5-7 pm at WCHS.  There will be fun for all ages!  Here's what you have to look forward to: a Chili Cook-Off between firefighters from West Carrollton, Moraine, and Miami Township, face painting, 50/50 raffle, music, half-time free throw shoot-out, and the WC Elementary Basketball Parade of Teams! All of it is followed by a varsity basketball contest - WC vs. Miamisburg.  Here's more information.  Chili Cook-Off and MENU. The cost of entry into the Cook-Off is a donation in the amount you choose.  100% of your donation will support Pirate Packs.  Pirate Packs is a non-profit organization that feeds hungry West Carrollton students on the weekends.

Pirate Robotics #6032
The WCHS Pirate Robotics Team #6032 is hard at work to meet the FIRST Robotics Competition's six week deadline to build a robot.  Just recently, Team #6032 made headway in these key areas:

Mechanical - Fabricating the structure on top of the robot and working on bumpers
Electrical - Mounting existing electronic components and organizing wires
Programming - Working on controlling "ball grabbing" motors

FIRST Robotics Lead Team Mentor and WCHS mathematics and physics teacher, Michael Neal, said, "the work of our team is paying off!  We only have 12 days left on our schedule.  Our students have a clear focus for the remaining tasks.  We hope to have a week of "driver training" before sealing our robot on February 23rd."  The team is led by Neal and Michael Scott, WCHS mathematics teacher.
